CHALAMTHANG in South Sikkim is a small serene village that is a true traveler’s paradise. It is located at a distance of 42 km from Gangtok. Still untouched by the tourist rush, here you can pick up vegetables from the garden and give them to the kitchen for fresh salads or you can visit Kaleej Khola – the local rivulet gurgling through the rocky slopes to get a dip or do some fishing. You can go trekking to nearby caves and hilltops or enjoy cultural programs and barbeques in the evening.
Our homestay is located on the edge of a hilltop with a panoramic view of the Himalayan foothill, the meandering Teesta River, and the snowy peaks of Nathula and beyond. We have 4 ethnic rooms and have also made a Machaan (watchtower) for our guests from where they can enjoy these mesmerizing views. Guests can also enjoy birdwatching, village walks, local culture, and cuisine, and discover the soul of Sikkim.
